Ordinary days here, with the work children choose and the rooms they choose it in.
Life at our school

What to look for
Look at the shelves first. Good rooms put one material out at a time, at a child's eye level, so a child can take it, use it, and put it back without help. Look for children working alone or in twos. Watch hands rather than faces. A room worth photographing is a room where a child has been busy for twenty minutes on something small.
