How enrollment works
Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run it and watch how the room is set up. Ask anything about the day, the food, or the pickups. Then you can decide what fits your family.
Enroll and settle in
Complete the enrollment forms and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. A shorter first day can help. A favorite small toy or blanket from home can help too. We will stay in touch about how it is going.
What to have ready
Most families gather a few papers before the first day. You will need the enrollment forms, a health form, and your child's immunization record. Have your emergency contacts and the names of people allowed to pick up your child ready as well.
Pack a full change of clothes in case of spills or water play. Add outdoor gear for the season, like a hat, jacket, or boots. If your child naps here, bring nap items. A small comfort object from home is fine too. Label everything with your child's name.
Before the first day, talk through the drop-off routine. Decide who will bring your child and who will pick up. Make sure that person is on your pickup list. Tell us how you like to hear about the day, and we will follow your lead.
The first weeks
The first days often start shorter and build up. Bring a familiar object from home, like a small blanket or toy. A teacher greets your child by name at the door and stays close while you say goodbye. A calm, quick goodbye helps more than a long one.
At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did, ate, and how they rested. They share the small moments, like a new word or a turn at the puzzle table. Most children settle within a few weeks. If your child needs more time, we will tell you and make a plan with you.

Ask about current rates when you call or tour. They depend on your child's age and schedule.
Can we visit before deciding?
Yes, a tour is the best way to decide. Children can come along and see the rooms, meet a teacher, and watch what happens in a classroom.
How do you handle the first weeks?

What does a typical day include?
A day is usually built around arrival, play and learning, meals and rest, and outdoor time, then pickup. The order shifts with the age of the group and the weather. Ask us for the daily schedule that fits your child's age.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Teachers talk with you at pickup about how the day went. If you want more, just ask. We will tell you what we saw and how your child is doing.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings are available at the time you enroll. Ask the director what days and times are open for your child's class, and whether a waitlist is in place.
What if there is no place right now?
If the room for your child's age is full, ask to be told when a place opens. grant@northpoint. org to add your child's name.
What should I ask on the tour?
Ask what the hours are and what meals or snacks are provided. Ask how pickup works and who is allowed to collect your child. It also helps to ask how teachers handle the first weeks of settling in and what the daily rhythm looks like from arrival to rest time.
